Andrew Spradlin

CO-SENIOR PASTOR

After being raised at Valley Baptist his entire childhood, Andrew is thrilled to help lead the ministry of the church as the next Senior Pastor! He has earned a Bachelor’s of Applied Theology from California Baptist University and his Master’s of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He and his wife Kelsey have their hands full caring for their four kids. As busy as he is with ministry and family, Andrew always reserves Saturdays in the fall to watch Oklahoma football. Boomer Sooner!

Brian Busby

CO-SENIOR PASTOR

Brian grew up in San Diego and moved to Bakersfield in 2001 to wrestle for CSUB. When he arrived in Bakersfield, his teammates invited him to Valley Baptist Church, and it was at Valley that Brian got baptized, discipled, licensed, ordained, and married! After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in biology from CSUB, he went on to receive his Master of Divinity degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Brian loves to spend time with his wife Faith and two daughters Zoe & Abby. Brian also loves to read, teach the Bible, and play guitar.

Matthew Spradlin

CO-SENIOR PASTOR

Pastor Matthew was saved and discipled at Valley Baptist Church, where he learned a love for God, His Word, and His people. After earning a Bachelor of Biblical Studies, he got his Master of Divinity and Ph.D. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Pastor Matthew and his beautiful wife, Leanne, have four wonderful children. He loves spending time with the Lord, his family, and learning something new!
